Didn't play golf this weekend. Took the money I didn't spend on the links and bought myself a 1950's vintage Gillette Super Speed razor and a blade sampler. Wish me luck.

50's superspeeds are slightly more aggressive than their latter counterparts so they give a slightly closer shave, which is a good thing for me. They are also better built, imo. A real American classic.
Watch your pressure, a light touch is best.
Oh, and good luck, but I don't think you'll be needing it.
What Mike said:
. . . Keep the pressure _light_.
That's one of two differences between cartridge shaving and DE shaving.
The other difference is that you'll have to become conscious of "blade angle" -- how the head of the razor is sitting against your face.
Have fun --
