Default Thoughts on the Titan H1

Gentlemen, here are some thoughts on the Titan H1:

Much has been written about the Titan H1, the new stainless steel double edge safety razor designed and offered by Above the Tie. The workmanship is impeccable in the matte finish. It's a handsome razor, masculine and heavy, but well balanced. The knurled texture of the bulldog handle provides a solid grip, and it is polished, making it smooth to the touch.

The only cheap thing about this razor is the flimsy cardboard box. I wish the designers had done their razor justice with a more substantial box — because it deserve it. I threw mine away for being worthless and having no class.

The Titan H1 is a superb shaver. Two passes and some touch up were ample for me. I usually do three passes, four with the Feather stainless steel. Unfortunately the Titan is a bit too aggressive for my sensitive skin. I find the shave almost similar to that rendered by the Muhle R41. Others will differ on this assessment, I'm sure.

Either way, the Titan H1 is an experience that some gentlemen will like and some not.

Which blades are you using in that? Maybe a less aggressive blade might help.
No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Several blades, but the outcome is about the same. The problem is my sensitive skin, despite all the fabulous preparation, including our favorite, Castle Forbes pre-shave. But what a gorgeous razor.
