    Checkout some of the numerous
    videos on Youtube showing DE
shaving. It may help. A video
could be worth a million words.

Do keep it up though. In no
time at all everything will fall
    into place.

    Remember though - stretch the
skin - very light pressure - allow
to razor to gently glide down
    your face.

Yes, the slant is an aggressive but fantastic razor. I'm guessing that it did a great job on flatter parts of your face (cheeks), but when it came to your neck you weren't using a consistant angle along the contours, which means the blade was too steep at times. It takes practice, but try to keep the angle consistant at all times and you'll be getting great shaves from the slant every time.

The slant is very good razor...I generally keep her for when there's a lot of growth...make no mistake it's a dangerous rig though. I myself couldn't use the slant for everyday use...just not as enjoyable as my Ikon OSS.

I can point you to the advice I received here.

I was in your position and thanks to the advice I got, I am now happily using my Merkur 34c more and more.

Basically, focus on not applying too much pressure while maintaining a "flatter" angle.

You are in the best of hands here, hope it all improves for you as I am sure it will.
