Trig Blades are Scary!
Hi everyone,
So I've been DE shaving for about a month and 1/2 and I've been getting used to it with the feathers my Futur came with. I decided to get a sampler pack from Amazon. The first blade up top was a Pakistani Trig.
1st shave: So sharp and cut through everything on the 1st pass (wtg). I nicked myself good in a couple spots on my chin. I Patched myself up and finished the last two passes, not knowing if I really wanted to go through with the last one. Super smooth so far!
2nd shave: I'm actually scared of this blade lol. I now feel how rough it is, I might as well take one of my Henkel kitchen knives to shave with. My face is red and irritated, I stopped at the second pass and don't plan on using a Trig blade ever again.
My question: Has anyone had similar experience with these blades?

I have used the Trig a couple of times but found it to be harsh too, funny I keep going back to the derby extra blades time after time. A very mild blade, good to learn with.

Gentlemen, I used Trig a long time ago and only once and promised never to use the brand again. Harsh blades, these.

Agreed, Obie. My face felt as if it was on fire for quite a bit.

I tried the Trig blades and they were horrible. I found the Derby's to be a waste of money...they dull that quickly. I'm using Wilkenson (not so great) in my Fatboy, a 7 o'clock in the Ikon OSS, and a Shark in the Merkur Slant.

Getting a sampler pack was smartest thing for me to do. I just put derby's in and they were pretty good when I shaved last night. I'll see how they hold up for the second shave. Its going to take me a while to get through this pak so we'll see how the others hold up too.
