I personally find it very silly when people try to strop their DE blades and do other things to try to get one or two more shaves out of them...they're such cheap blades and meant to be disposable. I was also under the impression that doing any kind of stropping or wiping will remove the microscopic layer of coating that are on modern DE blades. If you look on the black of a pack of feather blades, it actually says not to wipe the blades after use, only rinse and shave dry.
This is what I do, I take the blade out, rinse and shake it and let it sit on a piece of toilet paper while I rinse and dry my Edwin Jagger 87. I'll then put the blade back in the little paper and sit it somewhere safe where no one will mess with it.
I don't really care to leave the blade in my razor as, to me, it sounds like poor care for the razor. I'd prefer my DE to look as nice as it did the day it first came out of the box. :tu
