    Default Long Comb/Short

    On Here i hear quite a bit about a long handle comb and a short comb razor are these a make ? a model no?or a Gillette Razor that's not made any more ? any pictures would help as I like to buy one Thanks Eric

    Sounds more like a razor description rather than a make or model. It would help if you had more info of what you're looking for.

    yea, they make all kinds of combinations of heads and handles both new production and vintage. Your question is way to general.

    As has been stated, the description is a little vague.

    However, the Long/Short comb description is specifically used with regards to the Gillette NEW razors. They came in two variants - the long comb and the short comb. The heads were otherwise similar. The short comb NEW is a little more aggressive in use than the long comb.

    As you can see, the long comb NEW teeth turn down a ways at the end of the tooth.

    The Long comb NEW is more common.

    In addition, Gillette had many more NEW models (the Deluxe, etc). So it's pretty confusing.
