    Default Henckels Rapide...

Just honed up one of the blades for my Rapide... It made for an interesting shave lol.

Very sharp and I can tell its potential for some great shaves, that said, I need to work on my technique with this bugger.

Anyone else try or use these?

Yep, I've had one for several years. As you say, good aggressive shave.

I've been using it with a disposable SE blade lately.

Incidentally, there were several makers who made exactly the same design razor.

It was pretty cool. I may put it up on the classifieds here though, saving for another straight.

I have one, and I gotta say, it gives some very nice shaves. Do you have the proper strop for it?

I don't have the strop for it but I use a TI travel paddle strop that's about a 16th narrower then the blade. Works out perfect.

I have the Wotan which is similar except for having a solid blade holding plate rather than a wire spring loop:

Very good shaver and improves with time and stropping. The stropping handle works well with a paddle strop.

Geezer, you have only one of 3 Wotan I have ever seen. Would love to take yours for a spin around the chin some time!

I started using a Rapide recently. Love it ! My shaves are not as smooth as usual but I'm sure that'll improve with my technique. On the other hand, no nicks, burns etc...
