I have a feather SS Japanese style. I use straights too. But I find myself using the feather often to trim my beard, especially above my mustache, and my bottom lip. I like both the feather and traditional straights. Hard to say which I like best. both have their advantages.

I've used the Feather SS folder, DX folder, and DX kamisori. I use the DX folder as a civilized travel razor, and the SS as a "roughing it"/camping/out of doors/zombie apocalypse razor. Apparently I don't agree with kamisoris and no longer own the DX kami, but have kept the SS and DX folders. All are fantastic products in my opinion.

I've used one shavette. I think of it as the moist towelette of the shaving world.
I removed a piece of skin from my cheek which I referred to as Bill-sashimi. It was probably an inch long, remarkably thin, and not very wide.

I didn't tried any Feather shavette, but i do have a Equinox full DE blade. The weight the balance of that shavette is to my opinion very close to a straight, so has the quality of the shaves. If you put your best DE blade in it you get good results

In 1964 a barber gave me a shavette made by Schick. It took a Schick SE injector blade and was really a horror. The Feathers are like night and day to the early shavettes.

Since I change the scales on the Feather SS I am reading enjoying the shave. It's like a straight razor. Use with a Kai mild blade and it is a real pleasure to use. I no longer take a straight on travel.
