Personally, I've noticed that I get more tugging if I try to start a cut on a surface with hair (assuming that makes sense). I have an easier time if I begin a stroke on a smooth part of my face (a little above the cheek, to start) so that the blade is moving when it first contacts the stubble. I'm certainly no expert, so grain-of-salt, but perhaps that may help you, assuming you're doing all that other stuff these guys suggested and still having discomfort.

Hi Fellas. Sorry I haven't posted in the past day, been busy busy over the weekend but I really appreciate everyone's input. Over the weekend I took the advice of some of the guys who had posted comments advising to change the blades and try to get the smaller blades for the red sleeve, this made a huge difference, so I don't think the Dovo blades for the black sleeve are the best ( although I'm not the best at using the razor yet either, lol ). When I used the smaller blades for the red sleeve I got no Razor burns or nicks or cuts, not because the blades smaller, I just think Its probably a better blade. Overall I do like the shavette and I definitely will be using Straights from now so I think the plans gonna be to keep using the shavette for now then in a few more weeks see If I can get myself a decent Straight, I like the Dovo Bismark Black ebony 6/8. So thank you all fellas for your Info on this, It really helped and I really appreciate it. Its a great forum here and I look forward to being a part of it. Thanks again.

Excellent, and as you don't need to rush into a purchase you can wait until the razor you want is available.
