Default need a good shavette with safety spine.

    hi

i'm looking for a shavette which will not be for me but for my dog. i was using a clipper for it until last year. but as my dog has too think hair, i needed to buy a very expensive clipper. last year a friend told me he was using a shavette for his dog, and it was pretty good for the result. so i tried too. i commanded a shavette from china (well i was not convicted so i did not want to buy a expensive one for a trial) which comes with 10 blades.

i shaved my dog once and it was something like magic. in 40 minutes, it's done. so fast and good result. so a month later, i had to shave again my dog. but this time the shavette began so fragile. even the blade i inserted inside could not stay in there. so this time i'm looking for a shavette (as pliable or not, it's not very imported) which will be solid.

i looked those DOVO's hair cut stuff but it's expensive just to shave a dog. would you have any reference for me to buy one shavette or hair cut (not pliable) which does a good work?

Check out Weck hair shavers. Solid. They take a proprietary blade but they are easy to obtain.

I have a wreck sextoblade, they work really well for shaving, I have never tried it with a dog. The blades are easy to find.

The hair shapers have a guard similar to the one you posted above. Seems it would do the trick as they are solidly made.

You are only going to find vintage. The hair shapers go pretty inexpensively. The larger Sextoblade can fetch a bit more.

otherwise do you know if there is any piece (to avoid cut deeply the skin) (it might be called weck) to put on any straight razor ? because, if these protection pieces exists i would try to put them on a gold dollar razor to cut hairs of my dog to not shave too deep.

My Weck has a guard similar to the one you have shown above. If you get a Weck, make sure the guard is with it. Many of them have been lost as most people who shave with them do not use the guard. It is intended for hair shaping and works well for it. I have used it on my wife and daughter's hair.
