Default Protective cover for the Kamisori Style Shavette

I’ve been curious about the CJB shavette as a travelling option for SR shaving. I couldn’t resist Maggard’s Black Friday sale, and bought one with Dorco blades. First shave this morning went pretty well.

However, I promised myself I wasn’t even going to start using it until I figured out a way to cover it when not in use. I read all I could find for options. I still didn’t find out if the plastic Feather cover would fit, and if so, which version (dx or ss) to buy.

Here’s what I came up with for now. Sliced PVC pipe, capped with acrylic scale material, glued with acrylic cement solvent, and rubber bands. This is less for traveling and more about safety at home or hotel.

Very cool, nicely done. I know Protective covers are available for the feather brand kamisori DX and SS model, but I am not sure if either will fit the CJB.

A Feather hinged cover will work if cut off just before the edge of the rubber grip.

Thanks. That’s what I need to know.

Turns out they don’t shave very well that way. 😉
