There is a big difference when using a DE blade and an SE blade. DE blades are sharper and though I've never used a shavette using a DE razor and an SE razor the DE is quite different.

Interesting find, but I wonder whether the magnets could be the weak point.
The magnets appear small, most likely to keep the blade assembly small, but that would also mean a weak magnetic force.
If you don’t mind, let us know how this concepts works out in the long run.

Based on comments made about the magnets, without going into scientific jargon, the magnets are not your run of the mill magnets, they are extra strong, long lasting magnets. One of the comments was that the magnets would last a life time. I can tell you, they not only hold the blade secure, but really hold the spine together. There is no play what so ever in the blade or the part of the spine that attaches to the body. It is much more stable than my Feathers that work on a spring.

They are Samarium Cobalt magnets, not your typical neodymium magnets. They will slowly start to lose their magnetic force starting about 100 years from now, and completely lose it in a couple thousand years or so, probably. If the razor is still around 500 years from now, the magnets will still be working. The glue holding them in will probably have been replaced several times at that point.
I agree that its a looker for sure.
I have wondered about this razor. It is worth the high cost?
