I can't go within 20' of that store because of the smell  It's overpowering

I use a small dab of "Corn Huskers" with a splash of Witch Hazel. I read on
SMF or B&B that the Corn Huskers ingredents are similar to Coral Skin Food,
with it's own "unique" scent. A 7 oz. bottle will run you about 4 dollars,
and lasts a long time.
Well, it's been a week so, true to my word, I'm reporting in :D
I did reduce the number of passes to 2 and it helped only a little. I think it was just a bout of dry skin since I used some Nivea AS balm and it seems to have mostly cleared up.
Thanks for the suggestions, though. I appreciate them.
If Nivea ASB works well for you - pretty lucky, as it's inexpensive and easily available :)
Cheers

Corn Huskers has been "discovered" on every shave related forum I've been on. If it didn't come up, it would have anyway.
I've never tried Trumper skin food, but I've heard Corn Huskers' lotion compared quite favorably to it over on the old SRP (yahoo) as well as SMF, B&B, MSN, etc.
It works GREAT.
Haven't tried bag balm or udder balm, but before I enlisted I worked in a furniture factory, and some of the guys there swore by the stuff for their hands. I've been tempted more than once to try it.
I have the Jason Witch Vera stuff. It is good stuff, but if I had to pick, I think I would lean towards the corn huskers lotion....
The Proraso liquid cream aftershave at Target is also really nice.

I started using a moisterizer recently after my aftershave balm. It's excellent. You should try it sometime. Once I run out of my cheap 1 euro (on sale) King of shaves stuff I'll be looking around for a new one. I tried the moisterizer for men that they have at Lush but I think there's some kind of citrus in it because it carries a mean sting after shaving.
