I've been straight shaving for a couple of months now. So far I've just had the obligatory nicks and weepers every now and then. No big deal. This morning it happened. While shaving my chin, I cut (not a nick ... an actual cut) my bottom lip. Lips are highly vascular; so, it bled like crazy. I finally got the bleeding stopped. I'm guessing this kind of thing happens to everyone at some time.

For now, I put my razor in the corner of the cabinet to teach it a lesson.

Yep, when you start to lose fear of a blade bad things happen.

Concentration is the best preventative.

PS make sure it is dry during its purgatory.

Never had a cut , only an occasional weeper or nick , and all that came from my Dracula spike point Dubl Duck , I spent a lot of time concentrating on my shaves, even today I still keep the blade in my focus , , now I have cut my thumb once wiping the blade, very quick oh oh. Just heal it up and go right back at it Tc

Never cut my lip but nicked my ears numerous times. It's a steep learning curve and that's something you'll never do again! Just show your blade the respect it deserves and you'll be fine. Don't give up!

I almost Reservoir Dogged myself trying to get my sideburns the other day. I've been SRing since May with no cuts, but this time I was in a hurry, and that was my first stroke! I won't ever rush that area again.

I have really gotten myself good a couple of times! It is easy to blame the razor just remember to concentrate fully and most importantly don't try to do anything else during shave time! My worst cut occurred when I tried to talk to my wife while shaving, now I shut the door to avoid distractions.

Sometimes it happens that a person may be cut because not enough sharp razor.
When a well sharpened razor, working with her more securely.

Yeah these razors can surely bite! You're smarter than me; years ago I blunted and threw the razor that gave me my worst cut in the trash - I sure wish I hadn't done that.
