Received a new razor from John Crowley, excellent transaction, and even better honing on it to make a real shave ready straight.
Shaved with it this morning, and it was like going thru butter with a warm knife, great , smooth shave.

I enjoy the Mod 4 heavy grind - which looks identical. 'Can't agree more about your impressions w/ John. 'Wonderful guy. I'd gladly talk more to him & would certainly buy from him again.
His edges are as smooth as you say & were a complete game changer for me when I was new. When the edge fades, 3/3 fade from the heel. I have John to thank most for changing my shaves from a challenge to a pleasure.
Should you ever get the itch for a heavy grind - there aren't many left, but the wacker heavies are really sweet.
