It's not often that I listen to music when I shave as I usually shave at night after my shower, and with the kids asleep and whatnot, it just doesn't happen frequently. But when I do, I love listening to jazz when I shave. It kind of takes me to another place and another time. It makes me feel like I am a character in an old movie. Like I am living on the 5th floor of an apartment building in New York city during the 1940's and I am standing in my small simple bathroom wearing a tank top t-shirt. The window is open and sounds of the closely neighboring building next door reach in through the window. A baby crying, a door slamming, the raised voices a couple bickering from somewhere nearby. The occasional honk of a horn and subtle traffic noise is also present. But just under all of that, cutting through all of the hustle and bustle is the playful erratic and wandering buzz of a saxophone. Reaching just loud enough to push back the rest of the din and and occasionally drowning it out completely when the notes gain in intensity and volume reaching their apex only to dive back down allowing the ambient noise to resurface. That's my shaving music.

I might be one of those weird people and actually watch tv(Movie or News) during my shaves.

I don’t trust myself to look away at a screen while I’m shaving, but I often listen to podcasts or an audiobook in the background. I find that to be very relaxing, and a little more engaging than music personally.

I usually go with the Louis Armstrong station on Pandora.

Whatever the radio is playing or, and that's the more likely scenario, I listen to nothing, I enjoy the silence

Society is too hectic and "loud" every where, I like to take some time for myself whilst shaving and zone out

No music for me, my face is scarred up enough to deal with any more distractions.

I prefer quietness than any kind of music. This could help me to focus and relax my senses at the same time.

    Slayer - Raining Blood

I'm in the prefer silence camp. Like the quite and there aren't distractions.
There is no such thing a too much horsepower.
