Entertaining and there are a few vids around about shaving with an axe iirc. Always wondered what the point of it was.

So is shaving with a piece of obsidian but what's the point other than to say it can be done.

I suspect something may have been lost in translation here...

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

    Honingman,

Very entertaining, indeed! Well done and very cinematic - like a short movie. I like the Tschaikovsky music that accompanied the video.

Shaving with an axe is what y'all are saying - to just prove it can be done. Isn't that similar to what a lot of posts on this forum are, with respect to honing, latest equipment acquisition, etc.? In other words: fun!

    yea, Russians are insane.

I say that with a lot of affection. They will take everything to the extreme; chess, fighting, art, drinking...and apparently shaving too.

My axe is nowhere near that sharp, especially after the chopping block. It also gets honed with a grinder.
