Since this straight shaving thing has turned into such a hobby, this thread made me realize how much I was neglecting the 4/8 razor. So I now have a C.V. Heljestrand MK30 on its way to join its long lost brothers. Thanks for feeding the fire!

I usually buy my razors from ebay and sometimes there will be a 4/8 in the lot that I won. That being said...I do have a few lol
All the straights I bring back to life touch my fat face...with the smaller ones, I tend to go slower but I only use a straight pass, no across passes but atg no problem. (same results as the big boys)
I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a 4/8, it just seems they come my way which is good because variety is the spice of life!!
there's a couple in this last batch that I just got ready

I two 4/8 razors that I like for my mustache and chin area. I have a thick mustache and they excel in that area for me,also they make it easy to trim the sideburns. I still use a 5/8 or 6/8 for the rest of the shave but appreciate the little guys for this task.
