Great milestone, and 100 shaves takes a lot more time than people think....

First shave, then 10th shave, then 20...then a long road to 100...once you're there, you'll start to enjoy nuanced improvements, tricks, and more aspects that suit your personal needs to get that BBS.

Now, I can't imagine shaving with anything but a straight razor.

Used a really nice SE couple of weeks ago, this Schick Injector, great razor, was surprised at the heft of the thing, OK shave, but man, the burn I had around my neck later was terrible, was a reminder at how smooth a straight razor is.

    Congrats!

Congratulations, you have made it over the "hump". Now the basics should be second nature. Refining your skills is a bottomless pit but it's all down-hill from here.

It does take quite a few shaves to get things fairly under control and understood. Funny thing is.....now after and I am guessing maybe 400-500 shaves since starting this old school method I still get a bit confident then get bit....LOL. It will happen but good thing is, less often and when it does you can usually attribute it to over confidence. Congrats once again.

Yeah......that ain't happening. Given a different time and economical situations like 75 years ago where our grandparents had the necessities and had to be frugal, a straight blade is a savings. But today when incomes are much better and work much more stable we have more than what we need. So hence, these expensive straights that do save over disposables, well, we just add more to the stable and never get ahead of the game.

I am reminded of when I got into reloading ammunition thinking it would save money! It does when you break down the individual cost per round, but when you make mass ammo, you shoots lots more so it really does not save money LOL. But hey, every person needs a hobby and I have found being happily married that girlfriends are too expensive and motorcycles which I use to be into are never really finished and always need accessories!

    Enjoy!
