I'd no be trying that on the 3000 ton destroyers I was on. I'd rather try shaving on a bucking bronco. ;)

No way would I have shaved if the ship was that small.
Personally, I like the long strokes! None of that scratch, scratch, scratch stuff. Long is good. Long is efficient. Long is confident.
It would have to be the XTG strokes for my moustache area which tells me much about the blade's sharpness. The Fool's Pass became much easier when I switched from WTG/ATG to WTG/XTG and ATG as needed for touch-ups. I don't miss pouring out beginner's stress sweat approaching with either strokes to just under my nostril area...nor do I leave any stray whiskers there. Gotta love that!
Good to see someone else appreciating the "long game," earcutter. I do prefer longer strokes and especially a slightly sliding XTG stroke.
Funny tho I only seem to nick myself these days with my dominant hand. Routine "testing" reveals that I must be concentrating just a wee bit more when executing my left-handed strokes. :)
Anything but a cerebral stroke I guess lol!
