Interesting comparison, but I think there is more to it than that. And I doubt many get barber shaves on a daily basis
I can rub my own neck, but I prefer having a massage therapist do it sometimes.:)

I went to a barbershop that advertised a package, haircut and shave. The haircut was pretty good but the guy doing the shave didn't have a clue how to shave. I stopped him, got out of the chair and asked for the razor. I then showed him how to mix the soap, apply the preshave and started to shave using his razor. The owner came over and started yelling at me about insurance bs. I told him I am insurance broker and he has more exposure with someone who doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Well the rest of the barbershop was watching as well as the barbers. The owner let me shave and when I was done and applied the after shave I asked the owner to feel my face. He then asked if I would get a license and shave his customers. It's getting to be a lost art. It was funny how the other barbers and customers checked out my shave. Never went back.
Well done Bro'
I'm no insurance broker but, I'd hope that shaving YOURSELF in a barbershop wouldn't cause insurance issues? I'd be afraid it would (mostly cuz idk what insurance rules are)...good to know that isn't the case.
