Nice one Gino! Very good technique, that must have been quite a close shave. I can only have those type of shaves on Sundays.

I tried your method this morning and have to say I was surprised by the result. Normally I despise Williams puck soap not having much luck with it in the past. It took a bit to create the lather this morning but lather it did. The result was a nice close comfortable 4 pass shave. I am still not a Williams convert but it did go up a notch or two in my book.

I use this technique with soap sticks like Tabac. It is a great way to get a warm lather by using hot water on the brush after applying the soap to my face. It’s wash and it works.

I should add that I did not use hot water being a cold water shaver. I just wetted my face and applied the Williams, as I would any other shave stick, and started with a damp brush adding water as I went.

I'm going to try your lathering method. I typically use a bowl to make lather. I have tons of Williams soap. It's my favorite but have never tried it the way you did it. I'll let you know how it works out...

Oh Papabear 11 - I have been shaving with a straight razor for about 5 years now and have never used the face lathering method. I tried it like I said I would. That was an outstanding method that you showed on your video! Very close 2 pass shave that produced a BBS result. I was leary at first but that was an amazing end result! Very smooth! Thank you for sharing your video. I'm going to keep trying this method and I'm sure I'll get even better results as times goes on. Again Thanks!
