Henckels Friodur, round point with stabilizers. Most likely 72 1/2. Could be 472 1/2 too.

Very interesting indeed.
The barber uses a really high angle with the blade.
There was an unbelievable amount of shaving without lather with no visible irritation.
That was the first time I've ever seen shaving of the forehead and around the eyes.
Wonder what the whole process costs??

That is a great video... Thanks for sharing.. Like has been stated already the angle he uses and those short strokes are amazing.. The amount of soap or cream i use for 1 shave this barber could shave 30 faces im betting.. I could listen to that razor across the guys face forever but the sound of him shuffling over that floor was like nails on a chalkboard :)
Nice to watch a video like this..
Here's a Barber shop in my Hometown, they are pretty decent shavers, and a decent bunch of guys.

That place looks amazing. Wish there was a place close to me like that.
As far as the old guy goes, I always worry about my blade angle being too steep and my stropping technique being perfect. This guy though
I've never seen that pinching technique before, but now i'm interested to try it, especially for around the chin.
In many Asian Countries they shave parts of the face that seem strange to us. In Japan they shave eyelids.
I'm curious....What are all those creams and lotions that he applies to the face
and hair? In one instance, it even appears that he mixes two different things
in his palm, before applying the mixture to the face.
The barber's respect for his razor is noteworthy: thoroughly stropped before a
final few clean-up passes, and then carefully dried and returned to its case.
I've seen a video of a professional barber, shaving a customer in an upscale
Las Vegas salon, and it was nothing compared to this.
And there were 3 or 4 others patiently awaiting their turn in the chair.
What a performance! What a treat!
i imagine the las vegas barber was using a shavette type razor, which i would treat with much less care than one of my real straights.
