NOTHING like an Arkansas edge. Hahahaha. Thanks for sharing. Love it!!
Nice, Joseph-You guys are killing me with these foot-long Arkies! Beautiful stones you got there!
I have some long arks also, but you don’t need that length. I bought a 5X2 old Translucent in the box for $15, last week. I find the 5 and 6 incher every so often in the wild.
You can buy them on eBay for about $40-50, they will easily hone a razor and if they were well use, by a machinist they are already burnished, lap the other side to 600 and make a micro bevel. 10-15 laps should do it.
I will post some pics later.
Very nice video thanks, Arks are top as are Hart razors and Plisson brushes.
I also have your tiny Ark :) which I use for honing steel pen nibs (calligraphy), works a treat. Rotring used to market them for this, together with a small square of leather for stropping.
Thank you.
I tried to keep it all American but alas no USA brush.
That tiny Ark I bought time ago when I was wanting to burnish a jnat.. Silly me.
