    Default Oops

I have been treetopping arm hairs and testing bevels etc so much lately that my arms are just about bald.

I started using my stomach hair to test my edges and this morning I got out a razor called a Demon that Outback sent me when i first started shaving like a man and tested it on my stomach as I said.

Impressed that it was still so keen I decided to give it a few laps on Cro Ox and then leather to see what diference it made.

It made a lot of difference actually but I wanted a different area of my tummy with a bit more hair left.

I suppose I have been straight shaving long enough now to know that I need to lift the blade away from my skin before i move it sideways!

I think I was made to do it by the razor, it's probably called a demon for a reason.

I wonder where I can get a razor called Kind and gentle

Ha, kind and gentle. I'lll look out for the dreamscraper.

I saw a youtuber that tested by sort of chopping at arm hairs going slowly down at maybe 45 to 70 degree angle. I think that he was measuring results like a hanging hair test with how the hairs cut. Obviously, you could not see it on camera. But as I am approaching the day where I will be working on 5-10 razors, looking for a way to preserve my test media is appealing. FWIW my progression is arms then legs. Never have run out of leg hair.

When I was learning to hone, when I ran out of arm hair, I used my legs, then Richard sent me a good loupe, I learned how to use it and now I don’t have to have hair to know that the bevel is set. The loupe is also much more reliable.

I had a car accident and can't easily reach my legs so I use my stomach.

I do have a loupe but it feels good to treetop some hair to prove to myself that I'm doing well.

    Steve,

When you run out of arm hair and then leg hair and then tummy hair, I suggest you stop and let the follicles work for a while before you cut off something that won’t grow back.

Err, for the record I "liked" the tree topping part, not the car accident part.

I get a kick out of the shaving part. Watching a 3" swath of hair exploding from the arm/leg.
