That reminds me of an old video I saw posted on here a while ago - a Turkish barber shave with flaming baton to finish up. I'll see if I can find it...

There it is! Some way into that video I think a flaming baton makes an appearance about the ear-al area!
Another thought - I have, and I know others have as well, a tiny little straight used for slicing corns. I gave up on trying to get it really sharp, but I bet it could be done well enough to get into the old ear hairs. I'll see if I can find the pic of mine...

I use a Michael Motokata trimmer.
After reading UKaskmen reviews, his trimmer came up trumps.
It actually has a suction mechanism which sucks the hairs into the cutting area and I absolutely wouldn't do without it.

I use my straight to shave the "fuzz" off the outer edge of my ear. I accidentally sliced my ear the first time, but no problems now.
