Okay, so a coupke days back I wrote a thread about "nailing it", getting an awesome shave without expecting it.
I think I have discovered what lead to such a great shave: skin conditioner! I recently just started using a new skin conditioner, and I use it as an ASB, as well as putting some on before bed. I think it has made all the difference in the world! That was the "something different" about that shave from previous ones, as I had used the skin conditioner the evening prior to my shave.
Usually I shave every other day, as if I go for a truly BBS, complete with blade buffing, there is not much there to shave off 24 hours later. There's a bit, but it was never worth the skin aggrevation to go for it. I would instead delay until the following morning and thus the skin would have 48 recovery time.
Well, making use of my new skin conditioner, I followed up a fantastic BBS shave yesterday (that one was on 48 hours rest), with another just 24 hours later. WTG & ATG, with little to no alum block sting. Fantastic! I didn't go whole-hog and blade buff, but a nice close ATG would usually give some irritation on only 24 hours rest.
So baby your face men! Your shaves will feel even better!
I'm also going to fill my suitcase with bottles of Lucido,so that I can copiously annoint my face day and night!
