/Agree on that one. Wapi's are very solid, and very smooth shavers. I might have to look into picking up another one...
+1 on the Wapis
I love my wapi too!
wapi was my first razor and i love it (just need to get it rehoned now)

i love mine too.....! they always perform well
I am a newb and have a handful of shaves in with my wapi and I do get a bit aggravated at the weight of the scales. Do you guys have all metal scales?
My Wapienicas have metal handles and I like them
I love the wapi...I have steel scales as well, really like them aesthetically...they are much heavier and take a bit of getting used to, but I actually like the added weight, only 'drawback' with wapis, at least with the current edge I have, it is rougher than my carbon razors, its almost like I feel that the blade needs to be sharper so that it would then shave better...any one know what I mean?
Personally, I am not bothered by the scale weight. I like the fact that they are metal
I am pretty sure that all of the stock wapi's have the metal scales.
Sounds like you might need a touchup on your blade, mark777. Although I have noticed that the shave is a bit rougher with a wapi when the blade is right off of the stones. 2 or 3 shaves in, the blade seems to mellow out and becomes very smooth.
Yes same here the metal handles are too heavy in my opinion. This makes the razor not very well balanced.
I think my Wapi mod is very effective in countering the balance problem.
Jimbo loves his wapi

The wapienica razors are great. The steel is nice, the grind is perfect for me and they look nice too. They are just let down by two factors.
One is the scales which are certainly too heavy - I like heavy razors but I like the weight in the blade, not the scales.
The other is the lack of stamping. I don't like that they don't have good makers stamps. Some have the sfk triangle but many are completely unidentifiable which means that they will probably not keep their value over time(which isn't a huge problem as they aren't so expensive anyway!)
I've just shaved with my wapi that i purchased from the invisable edge and still carn't believe how smooth and effort less the shave is for the price you carn't go wrong i've paid treble for razors and they don't shave as good as my wapi.
Wow, just had my first shave with a Wapi.
Been struggling with a shavette, and a Kropp I think I knackered stropping on newspaper.
But with the wapi, soooo easy, this is how I thought straight shaving would feel.
Thank you Mr Dempster.:bow
