For those unaware, The Fool's Pass is done after the 1:50 mark on the second video. The look I give to the camera is supposed to communicate "Don't try this at home"!

I guess fools pass was a fitting name in my case, I tried it out on my second shave, and actually didn't cut my nose off. So then I just continued doing it and now it is a part of my standard shaving routine. The only areas that are troublesome on my upper lip is on each side of my nose and out, I can't seem to get it stretched enough there.

Well I guess that just goes to show you! My upper lip is difficult because the hair is dense and it lays down flat. Not having done exhaustive research, I came up with a technique that seems to work for me. I lay the blade flat against my face and make short, scrubbing strokes ATG. After this, I do a more normal AGT shave to finish up. It never dawned on me that shaving the upper lip ATG was considered to be the wrong approach! I've never cut myself, and the twice-over method leaves me with no irritation. Now I'm curious to try the more conventional approach and see how it works!
