Two new home made strops

Hi all,
I recently finished a little project. I made myself two balsa wood strops. I have orders some diamond paste to use with them. To construct them I glued two peices of MDF together to make a firm base and then glued a plank of bulsa wood to the top. The only tools I needed was a wood saw (please excuse my ignorence with wood working tools) and a key hole saw. All up the total cost, not including the tools, was about less than 200 baht. Thats about $6.00 USD.
They seem to have both turned out good. When I get my diamond paste I will let you know what the reslut is.

You did well. That is a part of Straight Razor shaving that is not mentioned enough. Using your own tools to make tools. Put a hole in the handle and you can hang them up on a nail.

Thanks for the tip. I was wondering, as balsa wood is rather soft, how I would prevent any unfortunate accidents resulting bumps scratches and dents.
