Anyone watch it yesterday? There was a scene where Baltizar was shaving with a straight. The usual 90 degree angle and he uses this flicking motion with the razor. If that hadn't been a prop he would have killed himself.

On a few spots he was actually using his face to strop!
That's an advanced technique commonly referred to as the emergency room stroke. :roflmao
i'm actually glad that wasn't the first time i had seen someone use a straight...i would probably be dead trying to mimic that visage assault
Yeah, I saw that. That scene was just wrong... and I'm not just talking about the shaving.
Does anyone have the clip?
And lets not forget the Star Trek: Insurrection shave scene where Troi shaves Riker the same way. I guess she's not telepathic enough to tell when she's giving him horrible razor burn.
Since I rely on Hulu for my tv watching, we only just watched Someone To Watch Over Me. I'll be keeping an eye out for when they post this last episode.
go to scifi.com
My theory is that when the Cylons started migrating to human form, they had to do something with all that scrap metal. So they made Zeepk razors that can't cut even at insane angles. :rofl2:
OK. We are probably a few eps behind you here in Blighty, so we will not have this particular delight for a while yet. I have seen Baltar shaving with a straight in a previous episode & it was horrible before they used the razor to attempt to slit his throat.
I am not sure about scifi.com, but BSG is not available legitimately to watch on line here in the UK. You can get it on Sky.com but you have to pay for it, even if you subscribe to Sky. Fox sucks:medvl:
Does anyone else think that Starbuck is the child of the skin job destroyed by Cavel?
No idea! I had the misfortune to be a Virgin Media :cen customer, so I lost the Sky 1 channel for a long time. I missed several series of BG, and what I'm seeing now makes little sense!
Are there ANY characters left who haven't died/come back from the dead/been revealed to be Cylons / Cylons who started as humans and came from Earth (I haven't quite worked that business out yet.)
I think BG did the same as Lost - had an unexpected hit series on their hands and had to come up ever-increasingly mad plot twists to keep it running.
I wouldn't be surprised if Starbuck turned out to be the daughter of Elvis and Wonder Woman. :roflmao
Have you tried Hulu? It has BSG. If they have some type of IP filtering out Brits you can prolly spoof your ip pretty easily, or fool it some other way. Its not illegal to do, unless the BBC made them pass some crazy laws or something.
The BBC does not make the copyright & broadcasting laws, thank the gods. Given the amount they charge for DVD boxed sets of their programmes.
If you will forgive me, BSG is about to start here. I'll post again with a critique of Baltar's technique afterwards. :mace:
Spike,
i am behind on episodes, but had my wife bring me up to speed, we believe the same, daughter of model killed by evil cylon model.
it would be cool to try and get in touch with the producers and get somebody to give him some pointers, if he was doing it right it'd be awesome.

Technique? What technique?:rolleyes: If anyone tried to use a straight for the first time after watching Baltar on tonight's BSG, the paramedics would be calling ahead to the emergency department for the on-call plastic surgeon. That blade was not even approaching blunt. My teaspoons are sharper. He was so obviously scraping (canned) foam off & not even attempting to look like he was actually using a straight.
I am disappointed because BSG is such a good show. How much effort would it have taken to get James Callis along to a shaving barber to show him the rudiments? I mean Baltar is a minging twat of a wanker who should have been strangled at birth but he is one of the show's more engaging characters. Hey ho. I would write to the producers but they have finished shooting the series now.
My main question from tonight's episode is how can you have Battlestar Galactica without a battlestar?:hmmm:
Boo Hoo! Hulu doesn't work in the UK. Sodding buggering barstewards:medvl:
