What direction is against the grain on your neck? For me it's forward. That's easy with a DE, but I just can't get the str8 in there, and when I do, my hand totally blocks my view.

Yeah Joe, it goes forward on the neck (ie against the grain). I've got a nice little 4/8 that I'm going to experiment with this weekend. That was a great reference that I hadn't seen yet. Thanks. I have found the method that Lynn uses in his video clip works great for me. On the cross grain pass I use a very light touch. Still not the best on my neck but my cheeks and chin are 98% stubble free. In a couple of weeks I'll try some third pass action.Quote:

The smaller razor seemed easier to use on my neck. I was able to make a nice close second pass against the grain for the first time. No nicks either!
