The responses to his vid are pure comedy gold. His comebacks aren't bad either. But it does strike me that some of us on here were maybe less charitable with feedback than we should have been!:nono:

That is pretty hilarious. Shaving with a straight razor isn't for everyone, especially when you don't know the difference between a straight razor and a shavette.
I found this video hilarious. I think some people who get into straight shaving later on in their lives and dont like it forget that they did not get perfect results when they first tried using a multibladed razor. They seem to forget that it's a new skill and think that they have been shaving for however many years so they should be automatically good at it.:nono:
Secondly, I don't know about the rest of you, but my reason for buying a straight wasn't cuz I thought it was gonna get me laid. :rofl2: That cracked me up when he said that.
Lastly, I dont really think he "read all the blogs" as he put it. When you do research on straight shaving, serious research that is, you will eventually fall on this site, and hopefully get some good tips on what to expect and how to proceed. It's people like this who don't succeed at something right away and then condem it that make me laugh. It would be like being the child of a hockey player and expecting to automatically know how to skate without having to learn anything just because you were exposed to it.

For those among you who do not know me (recently new, i might add), my (handle)name is Razorback.
Wanting to become an afficionado when it comes to shaving with a straight razor, i can tell that people like the one in the Youtube video will NOT put me from my goal.
It is what ndw76 says: "Do your research before you go shooting your mouth off."

Defaulting to calling someone a "fag" isn't witty. This guy gets me mad on a lot of levels. However, I'm not going to post on youtube and give his video any credit.
There should be a "law" against straight razors - yeah - that's it! A "law" where only good stuff, like a Dubl Duck Grim Reaper, is available to everyone - cheap, and if they cannot afford it, they should be "given" one for free at someone else's expense.
Oh yeah, and the thing must be "safe", not "dangerous". So if you nick yourself there should be someone to sue. And the razor should come with a guarantee that chicks will swarm to you and want to have intimate relations with you - and if that does not happen, there should be someone to sue.
I also think that Lynn should be forced to hone every one's razors for free, and Glen should be forced to restore every one's razors for free, and Obie should be forced to write every guy's love letters to their paramour.
