Just thought I would share the story of the first of my friends to be converted to straight shaving.
Now two of my friends have seen me shaving with a straight when we took a trip, but none of them really paid it much mind. However, when I was in Vegas with them I convinced one of my friends to come to Truefitt and Hill to get a shave. While we were there I also convinced him that the way he was shaving was inferior. As such he left there with a badger brush, some shave oil, shave cream, and aftershave balm.
Since then he has told me that his shaves are far better. So I told him he should shave with a straight, but he protested that he was afraid.
Well yesterday he came over for a visit and I happened to be just finishing honing a razor, and asked if he wanted to see my rotation. After checking out a couple of blades he told me he was kinda curious. I didn't waste time and give him a chance to change his mind.
I told him to throw a couple of towels in the microwave and come back upstairs. Meanwhile I wihpped up some uber lather. After giving him a brief stropping demo I had him shave his cheeks. After he asked if I could bring over my razors some time so he could try a few other ones.
Success!!!!:tuOne down, many to go.
