Thanks for help!

Been working on it for a couple of weeks. Lots of nicks and one slice ..... got the cheeks down, neck without nicks has still not been achieved ---- chin is still healing! I have made a deal with the wife that I will let my chin heal, before another attempt .... I've struggled with stropping -accidently slicing it as I tried to speed up my stroke to fast (new one on order) --- another lesson learned about controlled speed. Besides all of that--- I'll persevere - seems allot of guys are doing it without injury - just a matter of time until I join you. This forum is great. Thanks for all of the posts. Oh yeh, I have one advantage, my wife is a nurse - surgical glue works wonders! :)

Wow, sounds like you've been through quite a bit. Keep hanging in there. :) Maybe with a little lighter touch. :)

Hi and Welcome to SRP Russ,sounds brutal but +1 on the inhouse care :) take it slow and develope the advised technique found in the WIKI Straight Razor Place Wiki when you start your shave if it feels rough, stop..reconsider your angle.Get comfortable with your razor, the chin/neck area is one of many angles do a small area (temptation is there to continue) then stop.( all in the wiki) .. this process is what helped me get comfortable with my razor especially the grips that i employ for different angles to remove my facial growth..eventually you'll be doing complete shaves that feel great.
