evaluating the SRP razor after 2 months
well, i shaved tonight for relaxation and used the group razor and thought, hey, why not an evaluation at this point. i had a puma and i had a bismarck (i sold it because i knew the gold would wash off and i would be so sad that happened, but hey, i loved the razor) and a friodur and now, i have a TI 6/8 with bison horn handle (the lehmans razor) and the group razor. so i compare the two.
the TI bison: hefty, hefty spine. real heavy. kinda like driving a bentley i would guess. you feel safe, you feel good. if i had a two day growth, this would plow through. probably need to tighten it up a bit on the strop with paste. the granddaddy shaver.
the SRP razor: this is the sportscar, the one you ride on sundays when you want fun, exhiliration. this is a light weight razor, nifty. this would be the one to turn on a dime, to drag race with. feels as light as the bison does heavy. i used it tonight and it was one great shave. nimble around the ears and jawline under the ears when i use a crossways cut. the wood handle is lightweight as well. i had some other 5/8 razors (i know this is a 6/8 razor but hey, it is so light it is easy to compare to a 5/8) and this razor is even lighter than those.
so, i am real pleased with this babe.
so, any other comments?
