How do you hold your razor?

This is exactly how I do it as well. Works for me and I don't care what is "normal".

I'm using grips 1,3 & 5 most of the time and with the passes what mentioned at the wiki. Sometimes might try something new with some blades but they're just quick visits.
I shave with both hands and left hand uses same grips too.
Don't worry about the normal thing. Your sounds ok. The more you shave the more familiar you are with the blade.
