My 1st Anniversary of Straight Razor Shaving!

Well here I am, 12 months on and still enjoying my straight razor journey!

I'm still learning and experimenting which is all part of the fun. At the time I started I was having a particularly stressful time at work (since resolved). The process of shaving with a straight, the mindfullness and the learning has been particularly helpful. Even the sense of satsifaction / achievement you can gain at the start of the day, before you face the rest of the world.

My memories of pre-straight days are somewhat fuzzy - some fond recollections of briefly using a DE (that I since passed on to my cousin).
Strange to think of my disposable days - I think I'd find a disposable more scary than a straight now!

Congrats !:beer1: I remember my 1st anniversary , a little over 2 years ago . My feelings were much the same as yours , and still are . Nothing beats shaving with a straight razor .

well..you beat me..im in only 3.5 months str8 shaving..but LOVE it all!..all my friends can't relate..odd for me to think that

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's inspiring that you stuck with straight razor shaving for a year. I trust that you plan to continue.

I'm right behind you...I'll be celebrating my 1st anniversary in December, 2010.
