I know I did . Cuts that bleed a lot , aren't soon forgotten . When I was a noob , I cut myself twice in the same shave so bad , I almost gave up on the straight razor .

Str8 shaving does not take prisoners my man:)
I would like to welcome you to the fold, but I cannot since aside from a few nicks and small cuts, I have not had the "pleasure" of cutting myself bad enough to belong in this "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen's" (LEG) club :roflmao...and frankly, I'd like to keep it that way...I guess being lucky is better than being good?! :)
PS: Were you applying any sort of pressure around the tip (point) when this happened?
No. I believe that I just let go of my stretch but I was still on the stroke and the tip dug in.
I actually like the square point as I can get close to my ears and lip.
It was my fault and not the razor.

Some of you guys may laugh, but super glue has worked wonders for a deep cut. I can't say that I have used it on my face, but I have had a couple of intimate moments on my finger and thumbs. I highly recommend Gorilla Glue. :mace:
Ya my first 3 1/2" shave was an eye opener as well :p Didn't nail myself but darn close to it :)
Yes this is a good post for all to read.
When I shave that is my time and I don't want it spoiled by kids running around like a bunch of wild Indians working up to do battle.
The worst cut I ever got, Was while I was sharpening a japanese knife while the kids were going nuts.
Losing focus while doing dangerous task can leave you with a lifetime of regret.
A guy that I worked with was home doing a wood working project and cut off 4 fingers reaching for the off switch.
They managed to sew 2 fingers back on and get his thumb working again but he was never normal again. Come to think of it he was not really normal before:shrug:.
Stay focused on your task and when distracted back away and regroup before continuing task that are dangerous.

In some ways, this is a lot like a game of golf - every single shave is different and every time you make a change to the equipment or process you have a new challenge. I have never cut myself playing golf, but I bruised my ego quite a few times.:)
Sounds like he could have used one of these
