Two Month Progress

Despite picking this up about what two months ago I have only had about 12-13 shaves so far with the straight.
I have been experimenting with pre shave treatments. And times between shaves.
Yesterday I picked up some pure coconut oil and sandal wood, well despite the extremely strong smell of coconut and virtually no sandalwood scent the pre oil seems to have done a good job. in softening the beard and all that.

Today I had my FIRST full three way against the grain shave,

As I am so fussy I would say it's a 92% Baby Smooth Skin, theres one line under the chin which still exists, maybe like five little hairs, and a little on the side of the chin.

It must have took me about an hour, with 20 minutes of that spent on the chin just working little bit at a time.

Now I have to wait another 2/3 days to see if this closeness is a result of me not actually stropping for a week...


I am finally at a point where on a daily basis I could use nothing more than a straight for a long time without thinking about carrying any other razor. Which saves me at least in theory another tenner every quarter...like that matters
