In that case, Gibbs, it is worth to play around with it and see what you make out of it. I suppose you could make it into a 3/8" blade with a thumb notch, in which case we'll call it the Gibbs Special. Keep us posted with your adventure.
By the way, yes, that Revisor in the picture is lovely.

Gibbs,
You're pretty handy guy to have around. I'd say that no matter what it looks like, if you're getting great shaves then you've done an excellent job.

Why thank you, squatman!!
I re-did the scales (aka handles German word for handle is "schale") on the Gold Bug today after getting another junk razor from the antique guy. This one is way beyond repair, major pieces out of the edge and the spine worn way down and a definite smile. Too bad, too, as it was a Wade & Butcher out of Sheffield England. But, the scales were kind of nice and I got it for $5.00. Used those scales on the A.Witte and the guy even gave me the GOLD BUG box it came in.
Here is that Wadsworth that I also shaved with tonight on the 3rd pass. It's on top and the WISS & Sons is on the bottom.
For someone that never messed with a straight razor until around the 2nd week of Feb THIS YEAR, I believe I must have some kind of illness. I'm even thinking of getting a new Revisor Extra Hollow, 5/8 !!~~ Vern ~~
I was born with nothing and managed to keep most of it.
