I think that there is someone on here that makes the wooden ones.. My son use to use his wooden flat block as a razor to shave with me then i made him a wooden one myself.. and it stays with my soaps at the sink but I keep my razors in my closet in the wall safe.. I am perhaps a little paranoid, but this little dude has been able to sneak into the master bathroom unnoticed, and managed to get one of my brushes and a soap bowl over to the sink (with a step stool of course) and fill the bowl with water and swirl the brush in it.. heheheheheh it was just too cool to get mad at him.. but when he couldn't get the bubbles going he screamed (my wife was cleaning the living room and I was making breakfast) but he screamed "HEEELP DADDY HEEELP!" My daughter was closer so ran in there first, then started laughing.. When I got there he was standing on the stool with the brush in the flooded bowl looking up at me "Help daddy.. bubbles" Hehehehe He's two so limited vocab.. but apparently he wanted to shave.. so I pulled out his wooden razor and we stropped it or at least his version of stropping.. and then I got my W&B bow out, and stropped it.. he waited patiently.. my daughter "Still learning" watched.. and so I lathered up the soap and as soon as he saw the lather spill over the sides of the mug he began pointing to his face.. so I hooked him up with a full face lather.. then he pointed to my daughter and says "Sissy too".. so I shrugged and told her it would be good practice.. so she lathered up her leg.. the my son looked really confused and pointed to her face.. Well to make a long story short.. I shaved... and the Little man used his play razor on himself then decided he was going to shave his sisters face.. We all had a good laugh.. when we do this I even put a towel over the edge of the sink so he can wipe the toy across it.. Personally I throw mine over my shoulder and wipe mine like that...(Thank god I don't get in a hurry and burry the blade into my shoulder)..
Well after all that was done My daughter asked if she could try her own leg with my razor.. (I have let her practice on my arm quite a few times).. and although it wasn't the closest shave she did her shin from foot to knee.. She was a little too nervous trying to shave the calves just yet.. Can't blame her because it took me quite a few tries to get the stones to shave the bad of my head with a straight.. kinda awkward to shave what you can't see real well.. Either way i am proud of her.. and glad my son joins in too.. although he still thinks his sister should have a beard..
I liked the arm idea.. that way if anyone got nicked it would be me.. plus it made her be a lot more cautious with the blade too, and I don't want her to get as complacent as some of us has already done.. There is a post on here about what's the worst cut..
One last thing... I have always been an advocate of straight razor shaving as kind of a slow down and smell the roses.. For me it was getting to know my face and such.. some times it takes a good 30 mins for me to prep and shave after a shower.. So naturally I was tell my daughter to take her time.. even though she did a small part, after she was done she said.. "Dad, I get it.. I took my time.. and was relaxing while I did it... It was nice... thank you daddy.." then I got a big hug and she ran out to show her mom.. and of course I was left with cleaning up the mess.. :roll eyes: Oh well.. Teens.. gotta love em..
Anyway I still would like to thank everyone for the suggestions... it helped out a lot and I got to have a nice moment with both my kiddo's and we got a good laugh in the process too.. Many thanks..

Let the wife take charge....
Lathering and prep apply to all so ask the wife which
shave soap you need to get extras of and shop for
a brush for the gals.
Speaking of double edge swords... do not ignore
a good DE razor and a sampler collection of blades.
One should not share kit... it is important because
there are 10,000 blood born diseases that should
never be shared. There is a reason that states require
blood tests.... is is a life lesson not a lesson in
paranoia.
