One week into straight razor shaving

:rock:Well, I'm one week into this new straight razor bit and I stinkin' love it! I butchered myself the first couple of times(having totally ignored Lynn's advice to start small...me being impatient and all) and then almost pulled a VanGogh shaving my head three shaves in. But! now, after about five shaves, I'm going two different directions(wtg&atg) and gaining experience by also shaving my head. I think I may have grown an extra testicle what with all the man-ness going on! Everyone I've seen post says not to give up and give it a couple of weeks. I heartily support that advice and suggest that you settle it once and for all....I am a baddass and I will do this.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the experience. And don't worry, you're not the only one around here who ignored the advice to start small, I'm pretty sure most of us did. You just don't get to complain when you cut yourself up...;)

Eventually you'll refine your technique so you can use XTG instead of ATG. ATG can be unhealthy for the skin, and a lot of the time is unnecessary.
