My first shave after shoulder surgery
Well...it didnt go so well :( The shaving part wasnt very hard, but I think I dulled an edge pretty badly while trying to strop. I asked my wife to hold the strop while I actually did the stropping, and unfortunately a few times she let it go slack and really caused me to use some real bad angles on the blade. Luckily I didnt do any damage to the blade and didnt nick the strop. The real crappy part is I cant even use a pasted strop to sharpen the razor (which is one of my favorites) right now because of my one arm...but ohwell.
Luckily I bought a very moppy brush from Lynn a few months back and that has made lathering and applying lather MUCH easier. Scotts mug is also a great weight for using one hand to lather. I find it much easier to shave with wedges, and I am up to 3 now, well...2 since I killed the edge on one lol.
Other than that the shave was successful, still managed a great 3 pass shave with no cuts and very smooth skin, and the large classic shaving alum block makes post shave shave very easy. I also have a squeeze bottle of coral skin food which I can apply well with one hand. So all in all I would call it a success, although I'll have to work on the stropping.
