Face itch after two days
I have been taking things slow do the first few weeks just work on my cheeks. Saturday night I decided to go for my whole face. I thought I did pretty well I went once WTG and then ATG, didn't have too many nicks some irritation but was very smooth. I used an ERN Ator that was restored and honed by MAX. I stripped on a SRD canvas 25 passes and 50 on the leather. My face itches like crazy today, I know I am pretty new to this and trying to figure out if it's me technique in stripping shaving or both. Any opinions are appreciated.

What soap or cream are you using?

Proraso, took a hot shower first then put a hot towel on my face then lathered put the towel over again with really hot water and lathered some more

If there is no redness, rash or other irritation, it may just be that your beard is getting used to being shaved with a straight(sounds funny doesn't it).

Not sure on your shaving formate but aside from the razor the three important steps to address are 1 the Soap; 2 the Toner; 3 the moisturizer. While the Soap (Shave soap or cream) is important for shaving it also cleans the skin; the toner(After Shave) to use to close your pores and a moisturizer(Balm)to of course Moisturize and protect the skin. I add another step Alum, Used before the toner. I use the Alum as a disinfectant.

You might dial back the temperature if your skin is taking it badly. There's a contingent of us here who swear by cold-water shaves. Give that a try and see if it helps.
Best wishes and good luck

It's funny, my face itches the day after using a DE, but not at all with a straight. I think it has something to do with the angle the whiskers are cut. Do you stretch your skin when using a SR?

My face itched due to growth. 2-day growth, towards the end of the day it starts itching. Day 3 I'm ready to claw it off. Luckily, since finding SRP, and a SR, this hasn't been a problem.

I also use DEs as well and never had this before. I do stretch the skin as I M going. This was my first full face shave so I am sure a I keep going my technique will only get better and I hope to get better results
