Another good reason to.....

Have more than one razor that is. Put new scales on a Wostie pipe razor, spent time honing it and half way through the 2nd pass on the test drive dropped the darn thing. A pity because it was not shaving too badly either. Finished shave with another razor then inspected the damage which amounted to a chip in the middle of the blade but scales OK. She is going to be about a 1/16 smaller to fix it but it is an excuse to get that coarser honing stone now. I now feel for those who have done the same or will in the future. Remember step back and don't try to catch it. At least I got that part right.
