I got a gift from a friend :) Charles Hake
This week I got a gift from a friend who was at a flea market.
A straight by Charles Hake, Remscheid-Haddenbach. Other side has a logo an nr17 stamped in it. It seems to be a half hollow grind, in the direction of 7/8, might have been a 8/8. The grind showed som old markings of a logo etching, but it seemed to have been ground ( the hollow ground part ) at some point, just lightly, perhaps because of rust forming back in the day. The metal was pretty rusty and showed a lot of pitting. Scales were worn and made of white Bakelite. SO need to go and make new scales.

I tried some rust removal but as I said, a lot of pitting present. So some work cleaning that up. But the initial work I've done so far seems promising. There seems to be a very nice shaver underneath that rubbish ;)
