1925 Gillette Tuckaway Gold

Found this today and as usual could not resist. Not mint by a long shot, some plating wear off the cover plate, the usual hairline crack in the hollow handle and so on. Gave her a quick clean/disinfect and light polish before a shave using vintage Yardley soap and a fresh Persona blade. All I can say is what a smooth shaver it is. Love these old open comb Gillettes and as a bonus they don't seem to clog up with soap like some other types of DEs seem to. I'd get another one in better shape in a heartbeat. Please excuse the poor photo quality, it is a heavy crop of a SOTD photo.

Had trouble with the threaded swaged end of the handle coming loose because of a slight crack in the hollow portion of the handle. I substituted a thick bar handle from a Gillette New model to cure that.
