I've just picked up a jacques lecoultre frameback with 7 blades and I was wondering if anyone has come across one of these before? The most I have seen before is one with 6 blades.

I believe the small booklet that holds the blades can hold up to 12.
7 blades is definitely a find though, even if the frame is pretty badly worn down! Just tape it up and hone'em, they're amazing shavers.
Nice find. Enjoy.
I have this same Razor only it has two blades No.1 & No. 2, same box and a separate green sleeve (that fits in the coffin) or book looking thing lined with paper to hold the spare blade, it also has the screw driver.
Very nice find, I guess your going to sell all your other razors now, no need to have them taking up space, hehe
I might have to put a wtb in for the screwdriver if I find I can't stand not having the full set.
Whats the screwdriver look like, might be easy enough to fabricate one
The later models didn't have a screwdriver, but you'll know if that's the one you've got by the style of the set-screw. On the ones without the tool, the set-screw is knurled like a watch crown.

In fact, on those, there's nowhere to slot in a screwdriver!
I just had a better look at the picture and it is definitely a screw. I might pick up a Bergeon screwdriver after I receive the razor and measure the screw head, that way at least the screwdriver will be swiss.
Man, I love seeing craftsmanship down to the smallest detail....that knurled set screw.....beautiful!
