Very nice andrew, you are getting quite the colection :)
Thanks Ed, scared to think of what I will have spent in 5 years ! Does RAD medication ever come up for sale in the classifieds?
That is a sweetie pie for sure and in great condition to boot.
Bob
Very nice indeed.
Thank's for ramping up my RAD.
Does anyone know if there is a specific name for this model of W&B ?
The specific name is 'awesome' :-) Great razor btw!
Thanks everyone for your comments. I am now starting to consider whether I should keep this razor, as I haven't seen another unused razor in this style, and I want to be able to use my razors (I can't justify to spend this much on a razor purely to look at... If I were wanting something purely to look at I'd buy another painting). I spent quite a bit on the W&B anchor (not as much as I spent on this, but the W&B has already been used and not delicate like this model, so I feel comfortable using it in my shaving rotation), and I'm afraid if I use it, the value will drop and I will ruin the collectability for someone who may appreciate it more as unused. I haven't been a member on this site long enough to be able to advertise on the classifieds, so will most likely resort to eBay. Do you think I should list it at a certain price, with a "make an offer" option, or just a "buy it now price", or start with a set price and let the bidding dictate price. I haven't had much experience selling on ebay, apart from non-collectable items, where one pretty much knows within 10% what it will likely sell for. Or alternatively, hold on to it for a few years, admire it without using, and put up for sale in the future? Just seems a waste if it sits here unused, as I wasnt chasing razors purely for collectability, I wanted to enjoy shaving with them. I know most people would be happy to just collect and be the envy of many, but thats not what I'm after.
The razor looks used to me... it has patina from use. It might never been honed after factory edge but i see signs of use. Very nice looking razor thou
